It all begins with an idea. We all deserve space. A place for calm moments, a place to create, to write, to paint, to explore nature, to connect with each other.

Creative, Calm, Community, provides a range of creative groups and tuition in the East Neuk of Fife. Creative refers to the centrality of creative writing and artistic expression in these groups. The exploration of our world through a variety of media and settings will be encompassed. Calm is referring to the space which allows participants to feel able to be creatively expressive

Community encompasses our belief that people thrive in community and as such we seek to build groups and get people working together in an environment where everyone can feel seen and welcome.

Under Fives

We are developing a series of nature walks for children and their carers that will include stories and creative activities to encourage exploration of the natural world and to give parents and carers a chance to spend time connecting with their child and to connect with each other.
Primary School

We are developing a range of workshops for primary school students focused on creative writing and art activities. I use my PhD research on fairytales and children’s literature to introduce forgotten and little known tales to life. Our goal is to encourage children to embrace and share their creativity while building lifelong skills.
Teenagers and Young Adults

I draw on my experience teaching at college and university level to provide individual and group tuition in English and general study skills. I know that school and exams can be a really difficult time and I tailor my work with students to help them achieve their potential. I also offer a more structured approach to creative writing for students looking to developing portfolios for creative industries
Adults

We know life is hectic and its so easy to lose time to just stop and be yourself. We hope to help you build that space with groups that can fit into your life style, online, in-person and out and about in nature. We want people to connect with each other and the world around them.
